We're Scott & Melissa! We're the couple behind Sunshine Travelers, and if you're reading this, you're probably someone who's had a trip on your bucket list for years... and just hasn't booked it yet.

We get it. It's hard to figure out the best time to go and coordinate scheudles but when Melissa lost both of her parents right after they had retired at a pretty young age, it changed how we thought about "someday" forever. We stopped waiting. We started just booking it and traveling more. We started a travel podcast. We started a travel agency. We started hosting group trips. Scott decided to retire from a corporate job at 51 to pursue it more. And these are the best decisions we ever made.

Our Group Trips Make it Easy to Say Yes

Now we host group trips because we want other people to stop waiting and to start traveling more. Traveling without the overwhelm of planning something big on your own. Places like Kenya for safari, the pyramids in Egypt, the souks and desert in Morocco, and Antarctica. These aren't the kind of trips you want to wing. There's logistics, timing, and a hundred little details that make the difference between a good trip and the trip of a lifetime. 

That's why we've been.  We've vetted our travel partners. So we handle all of the details. You just book your international flight and show up.

Why Travel with Us

Our trips are built around making connections. Connections with the people you're traveling with, with the places and the people you're visiting. We're never about checking boxes at tourist stops. We want you in a safari vehicle in the Maasai Mara watching a herd of elephants cross at sunset, sharing a meal with locals who welcome you into their world, and learning the history of a place from an expert. The kind of moments you can't just Google, the ones you don't see on social media, and the ones AI can't plan for you.

So whether it's a safari through Kenya, walking at the pyramids in Egypt, doing the polar plunge in Antarctica, sharing tea in Morocco, or somewhere else on the list we haven't announced yet — these trips are for people who are ready to go and ready to experience more. They are for the people who are ready to stop waiting for someday and ready start living the life they keep saying they'll get to "eventually."
